G4S Guard Attacked in Twickenham
G4S Guard Attacked in Twickenham

Richmond and Twickenham Times reported that, on 5 January, HSBC in Twickenham was cordoned off after an attack on a G4S guard delivering money to the bank. He was punched in the head before his attackers stole his money box. Richmond Police's Acting Chief Inspector said they were not armed.

If the guard had been wearing one of Reveal Media's body worn cameras, perhaps the robbers would have thought twice before stealing the money. There was CCTV inside the bank, but it is unknown if the robbers were caught on film. If the guard had been wearing an RS3-SX, the camera could have caught a close up video of the robbers. Our camera systems use audit tracking, so footage taken of crimes can be checked for evidential integrity.

Body worn cameras have been proven time and again to reduce crimes, especially when they have a public-facing screen like the RS3-SX. If the robbers were faced with a screen showing they would be captured on film perhaps they would have thought twice about attacking the G4S guard and stealing his money box.
