When a prisoner is being moved or removed from their cell it has to be filmed. This prevents abuse to both prisoner and guards. Planned cell removals are currently recorded using a handheld camera, but Full Sutton prison has chosen to change to body worn cameras.
Using an RS2 means there will an extra pair of hands to help. As the camera will be mounted on a guard’s jacket, they will have their hands free to restrain or aid the prisoner if necessary.
