Body Cameras to Document Officers' Work

 

The Fulton Sun has reported that Missouri's Fulton Police Department, USA, has applied for a grant to purchase body worn cameras. Fulton PD has already purchased several body worn cameras, but hopes to buy more so that each officer who is on patrol can record their work.

Police Chief, Steve Myers, wants each officer to have a body worn camera so that false claims against officers can be put to rest. He also stated that electronic records, such as video footage from a camera worn by an officer, could save time in court for Fulton PD.
