In their first year of use Leeds City council’s 10 CARMACAMs reduced attacks on parking wardens by 30%. Now, figures from the first quarter of 2011 reveal that incidents have been reduced by a further 26%. As the public becomes more aware that they are being filmed they act less aggressively, which prevents verbal and physical attacks from happening.
